Katherine "Kate" Wentz, 41, of 20 Tule St., Montoursville, Pa., passed away at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, after a valiant struggle with cancer.
Kate was born on May 26, 1971, at Williamsport. She was the daughter of Tim and Shelly (Thomas) Selleck.
Kate graduated from the Montoursville Area High School in 1989. She married Garrett Wentz on Feb. 28, 1996. Together they have shared 16 years of marriage. She and her husband owned and operated Wally Wentz Florist and she worked at the Rosencrans' Bakery in Montoursville. She had a bright and sunny attitude and had the ability to lift the spirits of everyone around her. She was a devoted business partner and was a loving and dedicated wife and mother who always put other people's needs in front of her own.
Surviving are her husband, Garrett "Gary" M. Wentz of Montoursville; and her son and daughter, Jack Wentz and Jennifer Wentz, both of Montoursville. In addition to her husband and children, Katherine is also survived by her parents, Tim and Shelley Selleck of Trout Run; her grandmother, Shirley Thomas of Williamsport; and her sister, Carrie (John) Noble, and their children Spencer, Ellen, Joel and Mathais, all of Montoursville.
Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation and gathering at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, South Williamsport, PA 17701.
Funeral services for Katherine E. Wentz will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, with Rev. Paul M. Doriani of Covenant Central Presbyterian Church officiating.
