A Jersey Shore man faces charges after allegedly beating his partner while intoxicated, just after midnight on Saturday.
Jeffery Lynn Bowers, 53, of 1220 Allegheny St., has been charged with simple assault, harassment, and public drunkenness.
Police responded to a report of "glass breaking and loud yelling" coming from Bowers' residence.
Bowers met police outside and said that he and his partner had gotten into a physical altercation, according to court records.
According to police, Bowers had blood on his hands and a cut on his left ring finger.
Police interviewed the alleged victim, who told police that Bowers had struck him in the mouth.
According to the affidavit, the man, who had blood on multiple parts of his body, had suffered injuries to his arm and forehead.
Bowers was arraigned before District Judge James H. Sortman on Saturday. He is incarcerated in lieu of $5,000 bail.
