Irene B. Boyer, 79, of Williamsport, died on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at Rose View Center. Irene and her husband, Paul D. Boyer, were married on July 16, 1955.
She was born on April 11, 1933, in Dilliner, Pa., and was the daughter of Andrew and Julia Fekete Kovach.
Irene was a graduate of Point Marion High School and the West Virginia University with a degree in home economics. Irene taught for many years in the Williamsport School District. Irene was a member of the Church of St. Ann.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, James Kovach and William Kovach, both of Charleston, W.Va.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport, with the Rev. David W. Bechtel officiating. Burial will be in Green Ridge Cemetery, Connellsville, Pa. There will be no visitation.
The family will provide flowers and suggest that memorial contributions in Irene's name be made to North Central Sight Services, 901 Memorial Ave., Williamsport or to the Church of St. Ann, 1220 Northway Road, Williamsport.
