Donovan D. Taylor Sr., 74, of Williamsport, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.
He was born in Williamsport on July 16, 1938, a son of Harold D. Taylor and Mildred (Foresman) Taylor Hammer.
Donovan was a Williamsport High School graduate and married the former Martha Cahn on May 3, 1957.
He was a plate maker for the Grit Publishing Co., and retired from Grit Commercial Printing in Montoursville after 45 years of service.
Donovan was a member of the NRA and enjoyed landscaping and gardening.
Besides his wife of 55 years, Martha, he is also survived by 10 children, Donovan D. (Ann) Taylor Jr., Zachary Taylor, Cindy (Tom) Gotshall, Jeffery (Lorrie) Taylor, Lisa (Ernie) Ginoble and Brian Dolley, all of Williamsport, and Terri Wheeland of Colorado, Pam Taylor of St. Mary's, Mike (Glaiza) Dolley of New Jersey and Rachel Dolley of Harrisburg; 19 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Debra (John) Hughes of Rhode Island; and two brothers, David and Scott Taylor of Montoursville.
Donovan's Life Celebration will begin with a public visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the James C. Maneval Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 500 W. Fourth St., Williamsport. Services will be at 11 a.m. followed by a graveside service in Wildwood Cemetery.
