After assaulting a man by biting him on the right side of his neck, Matthew Allen Lantz jumped in his pickup truck, backed into a camper occupied by two people and fled the scene, state police alleged in court papers.
Lantz, 18, of 659 Rose St., is accused of assaulting Bradley Andrew Deparasis at the Susquehanna River lots on Campfire Lane in Susquehanna Township about 4:15 a.m. on Sept. 9.
Police did not say what prompted the attack. Lantz then got into a truck and backed into a camper occupied by Jeffrey and Theresa Bartholomew, police said. Neither was injured.
A state trooper tracked down Lantz a short time later at an undisclosed location.
Lantz was arraigned Tuesday before District Judge James H. Sortman on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and harassment. He was released on $3,000 bail.
