Yordy-Ploppert

Stephanie L. Yordy, Elysburg, and Jason M. Ploppert, Sunbury, were united in marriage at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012.

The Rev. Richard J. Shearer officiated at the ceremony held in Sunbury.

A reception was held at the Priestley-Savidge House, Northumberland. A rehearsal dinner was held in Northumberland.

The bride is the daughter of Christine and David Yordy, Elysburg. She graduated from Southern Columbia Area High School, Catawissa, in 2002 and received an associate degree in criminal justice from Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke. She is employed by the Department of Public Welfare, Danville.

Ploppert is the son of Michael Ploppert, Sunbury and Ann Betts, Danville. He graduated from Danville High School in 1998 and attended Pennsylvania College of Technology and Bloomsburg University. He is self-employed.

Matron of honor was Nicole Katchick.

Bridesmaids were Marie Grayeske, cousin of the bride; Jen Pequignot; Kim Dudra and Jen Russo.

Flower girl was Serenity Laird.

Ring bearer was Hunter VonBlohn.

Best man was Tom VonBlohn.

Groomsmen were Terry Kratzer, Matt Stahl, Michael Brown and Kerry McCormick.

The couple is residing in Sunbury.
