Ecumenical luncheon

United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday, Connie Phillips will portray local historical figure Emma Rowley to tell us about some of "The Treasures of the Victorian Era" and to get us in the mood for the Victorian Tour later this fall. A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how much to prepare.

Devotion line

The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be Pastors Jim and Kathy Behrens. Kathy is one of the pastors at the Loyalsock-Wallis Run United Methodist Charge and Jim is administrative pastor at Picture Rocks United Methodist Charge.
