In separate cases, three woman were nabbed Tuesday for shoplifting at Kmart, 1915 E. Third St., state police said.
For Karen Denise Morton, when the 47-year-old Montoursville area woman was caught about 12:30 p.m. allegedly trying to steal $24 worth of merchandise, it would be her fifth shoplifting arrest, according to court records.
Morton, of 179 Old Cement Road, was arraigned before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman and released on $15,000 bail.
The second woman arrested was Britney Alisha James, 25, of 624 Stark Alley, who was caught allegedly trying to steal merchandise about 2:10 p.m. Following her arraignment before District Judge Allen P. Page, she was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Also jailed was Marietta Faith Frank, 53, of 7 E. Water St., Muncy, who attempted to steal $60 worth of merchandise from the department store about 5:15 p.m., police allege. She also was incarcerated in lieu of $5,000 bail.
