Another view

I have noted lately that President Obama signs seem to be disappearing. Apparently, some of our fine Republican friends feel that the only choice that we should have for the election is the opinions that they hold.

Well, here's the other view.

We have President Obama, who has repeatedly called for taxes on the rich (including his own income bracket) be restored to the amount that was paid when President Clinton was in office. Back then we had balanced budgets and a declining debt. This has been opposed by the Republicans as well as his moves to shore up Social Security, Medicare and education.

We also have Governor Romney who has supported cuts in taxes on the rich and cuts in Social Security, Medicare and education which will affect the middle class. All this while he moved personal assets off shore to avoid paying taxes on them. So there you have it.

Candidate "A" President Obama who is willing to sacrifice some of his own personal gain for the good of the country.

Candidate "B" Governor Romney who is willing to sacrifice the good of the country for his own personal gain.

Perhaps we should remember President Kennedy who said, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country."
