It was with some amusement that I read Mr. McGill's letter stating that 7.8% unemployment was equivalent to an "A". Projecting his philosophy further, he would have us believe 20% unemployment should be considered an average "C", because 80% were still working.
Morgan Freeman beseeches us to allow more time for the administration because of inherited difficulties from Bush's years. Many of us remember that the fiscal calamity resulted from the failures of mortgage-backed securities, the roots of which are traceable to the relaxation of creditworthiness standards passed by the Clinton administration.
That was an entirely forseeable result.
Has the administration become so emboldened, that they believe a contrived plan to ruin America's economy, which is then blamed on others, will get them elected as the only viable healers?
In D'Souza's book "The Roots of Obama's Rage", the author shows that Obama has a deep-rooted disdain for American values. His view of capitalism and our tendency to help other countries is more like an "invade and conquer" predator. He is following the ideals of his father, a prominent socialist activist in Kenya, a former colonial province of Great Britain.
This book explains his apology to foreign leaders. It provides a motive behind his plans for nationalized medicine and takeover of business.
I remember telling a co-worker that I was proud to have witnessed the election of an Afro-American descendant to the office of president, but worried about his policies and their result. I have since been downsized from my job in healthcare and had to train for a new occupation while approaching my sixties, that is my fiscal cliff!
On election day, Defend America defeat Obama.
