In a recent AP article both PA Democratic Sen. Bob Casey and his Republican opponent in the Senate race, Tom Smith, oppose abortion. That is Casey's official position on abortion, but his actions reveal otherwise.
He, former Congressman Chris Carney, and all the other so-called Blue Dog Democrat pro-lifers caved in the end and signed on to Obamacare even though it provided for taxpayer funded abortions. It has lead me to the conclusion that there really is no such thing as a pro-life Democratic politician, it's just something they espouse to win elections in conservative leaning districts.
But the big reason to replace Casey with Tom Smith is that we can't afford another six years of Bob Casey. He consistently votes for more and more spending on things like Obamacare, even voting for the $800 billion "stimulus" bill. Obama couldn't have racked up $6 trillion of new debt in four short years without the help of Senators like Bob Casey. Earlier in the same news story it stated that there aren't big differences between Casey and Obama. Ain't that the truth!
