I am responding to the totally misinformed letter written by Ms. Knight in the Oct. 24 paper.
You, and others like you, have this notion that Mr. Romney and others are against women. Obviously, you've paid no attention to the numerous women in business and politics who have worked with Mr. Romney, and support him without reserve as empowering women. Jane Edmonds is a black, Democrat woman who served in his cabinet in Massachusetts. But far better to have a president who can only belittle anyone with an opinion other than his, who has over 5 million women out of work and over 25 million women in poverty, more than at any other time in our history.
You want to keep social programs like Medicare and Social Security in place when Obamacare takes $716 billion from Medicare to fund itself, taxes home sales and rental income 3.4% starting in January (thereby increasing rental fees), and adding 16,000 IRS agents, paid for with our tax dollars, for health care. I'll go with a man who can build our economy, security, and standing in the world while preserving the freedom.
