October 30, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

To support his drug habit, Sean David Beam, 30, of 3570 Dewey Ave Extension, stole a collection canister containing donations for blind children from Cowdens' Market on Lycoming Creek Road on Sept. 20, Old Lycoming Township police alleged in court papers.

Police believe that about $300 was in the container.

Beam has admitted to stealing the canister and spending the money on cocaine, police said. Following his recent arraignment before District Judge James H. Sortman, he was released on $5,000 bail.
