Following a recent preliminary hearing, two men were held for court on most South Williamsport police charges stemming from a mid-October 2009 robbery at A-Plus Sunoco at 4 E. Mountain Ave.
Philip Jon Hall, 22, of 800 Rural Ave., and Benjamin Villanueva III, 21, of 3 E. Mountain Ave., South Williamsport, will face further court action on charges of robbery, theft, receiving stolen property, simple assault and recklessly endangering.
However, District Judge Gary A. Whiteman threw out one count of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault against both men due to a lack of evidence. While Hall is free on $50,000 bail, Villanueva remains jailed in the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.
