Assault charges continue to mount against Lycoming County Prison inmate Terra Marie Swope, according to court records filed by county Detective A. E. Diaz Jr.
Swope, 34, whose last known address was Palmer Hill Road, Loyalsock Township, faces new charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment for allegedly striking a corrections officer in the face at the jail on Sept. 20, Diaz said.
Following her recent arraignment before District Judge Allen P. Page III, Swope was recommitted in lieu of $10,000 bail.
This is the second time in as many months that Swope, who has a history of assaultive behavior, has been charged with attacking someone in the jail. She allegedly assaulted a counselor at the jail on Aug. 20, two days after she was incarcerated on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment for allegedly head-butting and choking a Hope Enterprise employee inside the Palmer Hill Road home, state police said.
