Sean Anthony Smith, who was wanted for allegedly attacking another man who ended up hospitalized at Geisinger Medical Center, was arrested Tuesday night, city police said.
Smith is an admitted cocaine addict, according to police, and is accused of breaking into Justin Pryor's home at 812 Park Place and hitting Pryor numerous times in the head and upper body about 1 a.m. on Aug. 13.
The two men know one another, police said.
Smith fled the house after Pryor started wrestling with him, police said.
Pryor initially declined medical treatment, but a few hours later, he was taken to the Williamsport Regional Medical Center and transferred to Geisinger in Danville. No information was available on how long he was hospitalized.
Following his arraignment early Wednesday morning before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman on charges of aggravated and simple assault, burglary and felony trespassing, Smith was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
