Anna Jean "A.J." Ludwig Edkin, 68, of Salladasburg, died Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born Aug. 12, 1944, in Jersey Shore, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Frances M. (Green) Ludwig. She married Robert Edkin and celebrated 39 years together on Sept. 15.
Anna was a member of the Avis United Methodist Church, the Citizen's Hose Company, and Larry's Creek Volunteer Fire Company. She enjoyed bowling, having picnics, and cooking.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Robert, are two sons, Jerold N. Ross (Kelly) of Salladasburg, and Adam J. Ross (Kristi) of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Shannan Fanning (Kevin) of Avis; a stepson, Tim Edkin of Montgomery; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Ludwig Sr. and Norman Ludwig both of Jersey Shore; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Ludwig and a great-grandson, Marcus Reynolds.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Nov. 17, 2012, at the Larry's Creek Volunteer Fire Company Building, Main Street, Salladasburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anna's name may be made to the American Red Cross, 320 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701, or the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
