D. Paul Troisi , 84, of 516 Hawthorne Ave., died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at The Gatehouse, Divine Providence Hospital, after a brief illness.
He and his wife, Mimi, observed their 61st wedding anniversary on June 28.
He owned and operated Troisi Telephone Company in Williamsport and was a salesman for Commonwealth Communications, Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
A graduate of the Williamsport High School, he was a celebrated Eagle Scout and a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Toastmasters and Knights of Columbus. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Born on May 29, 1928, in this city he was the son of Domenic M. and Bernardine (Beiter) Troisi.
He is survived by his wife, Mimi M. (Baier) Troisi; four brothers, Robert Troisi (Williamsport), Joseph and Patricia Troisi (Monroe Township, N.J.), John and Patricia Troisi (Williamsport), James and Cathleen Troisi (Seneca Falls, N.Y.); and two sisters, Helen Arney (Peoria, Ill.) and Mary Troisi (Williamsport); and children, Mimi Troisi and John Stugrin (Trout Run), Rose Troisi (McEwensville), Nick and Carol Troisi (Unityville), Annette Troisi (Watsontown), Gerard and Theodora Troisi (Millmont), David Green (Williamsport) and Theresa and Todd Kendall (Williamsport); and ten grandchildren, Keil O. Troisi, Aaron R. Troisi, Kathryn M. McCarty, Sarah A. Troisi, Yvonne R. Troisi, Paul M. Troisi, Emily M. Green, Marcella J. Green, Nathaniel W. Kendall and Mieren K. Kendall. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Ann Green and three sisters, Ann Marie McLain, Marguerite Carapellucci and Bernadine Hamm.
He enjoyed travel, building model airplanes and bowling.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
