Brian Watkins scored a takedown in the second sudden victory period to pick up a 3-1 win at 157 pounds for Lycoming College in a 19-14 win over Thiel on Wednesday.
Lycoming clinched the win when senior Tyler Cunningham bumped up a weight class to post a 12-3 major decision at 197 pounds. Freshman Matt Neff won in his first dual meet, 9-3, at 149 pounds.
Lycoming improved to 16-4 in dual-meet openers under head coach Roger Crebs, now in his 20th season. The Warriors are 50-6-1 all-time in season openers.
