I'm glad the River Valley Transit pumping station is growing and I think it is great for our area.
What I disagree with is the city finance director's version of the money used for Larson Design Group and River Valley Transit.
Mr. Nichols said, "the money isn't going to come from the General Fund or cause taxpayer worries."
He said, "The project is paid for through federal and state grants plus a local match."
State and federal grant money is not free money. There is no such thing as "free money." It's taxpayer money.
The City of Williamsport is broke. The city can't pay its own bills, so where is the local match money coming from?
