Guest conductor for the festival is Dr. Kristen A. Albert.

Albert recently retired from West Chester University where she served as an associate professor in the Department of Music Education. Her specializations included choral methodology, Kodaly methodology, electronic portfolio development and reflective practice for pre-service music educators.

Albert has extensive experience in many facets of music education, having served as an educator in the Pennsylvania public schools for 17 years prior to her employment at West Chester University in 2001.

Albert has served as guest conductor for more than 15 elementary and middle choral festivals in Pennsylvania, New York and Virginia over the past 10 years.

In keeping with her passion for making vocal music accessible to young singers through the choral art, Albert founded the Children's Choir of Lancaster in 2000, and until recently served as the Artistic Director of the Kennett Symphony Children's Chorus from 2007 to June 2012.

The event is open to the public. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students.
