Edith H. Boston Bridinger, 92, of Picture Rocks and Montoursville, died Nov. 8, 2012, at the Bonham Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 15, 1920, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Clarence C. and Eva Mae Reed Weaver. Oct. 18, 1985, she married the late John Arthur Bridinger, who died in 1997. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jaman Hallsted Boston in 1981.
She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and Picture Rocks Baptist Church and attended the Pleasantville Grade School and graduated from Hepburnville High School, class of 1937. Edith was avidly involved in music, singing with her husband in several groups and playing guitar for many Senior Citizen Groups, hospital organizations and was a former member of the Lungerville Hymners. She also enjoyed bottle hunting, giving presentations on her many artifacts, reading history books, writing poetry, UFO's and sewing.
She was a member of the Lycoming County Historical Society, Lycoming County Archeology Society and enjoyed attending the Senior Citizen Groups in Muncy, Montoursville, Hughesville and South Williamsport.
Edith is survived by a daughter, Tonya (Robert) Boston-Sagar, Benton, with whom she lived prior to moving to Bonham Nursing Home; two stepgrandchildren, Annette and Robert Sagar; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Hanni and Elias Sager and a brother, Charles Weaver, 98 years old, of Rochester, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Keiss and two brothers, Walter Weaver and Oran Weaver.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, officiated by Rev. Robert E. Berger. The interment will be in the Picture Rocks Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
