November 13, 2012
Williamsport Sun-Gazette

The eastbound lane of Interstate 80 was closed for about four hours on Sunday evening, following a crash in Turbot Township, Northumberland County.

Piotr Witold Wochnik, 42, of Burbank, Ill., was traveling in the eastbound lane in a commercial truck when he allegedly failed to notice that traffic was backed up along the highway and drove into the rear of a 2007 Volvo operated by John Daid Bisel, 43, of Waterford, Mich., according to state police.

Wochnik was trapped in his Mitsubishi Carryall vehicle and police worked for about one hour before freeing him, according to reports.

Wochnik, who suffered moderate injuries, was flown to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. No updated information was available regarding his current condition.

Police did not report any injuries to Bisel.
