Laura R. Marr, 94, formerly of Loyalsock Township, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at the Williamsport Home.
She was born Aug. 28, 1918, in Williamsport, a daughter of Arthur E. and Nellie B. Smith Reed.
Laura had several retail jobs in Williamsport and then went on to retire from Bell Telephone, where she was an operator. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, loved animals and entertaining in her home.
She was predeceased by her husband, Justin S., who passed away in 2001.
There are no immediate survivors.
The funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Spitler Funeral Home, 733 Broad St., Montoursville, with Pastor Sarah V. Hershberger, interim pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Jersey Shore Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
