MANSFIELD - Derrick D. Smith, 53, of 53 Sullivan St., Apt. B, was charged by Mansfield police with making terrorist threats, harassment, disorderly conduct and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office, police received a complaint from Tracey Richardson that Smith had threatened her and her juvenile daughter on Nov. 9 at their residence, telling them he was going to "chop them up and leave them to bleed to death."
He allegedly threw Richardson across the room and pinned the girl in a corner yelling and screaming at her. He also allegedly ripped off the woman's shirt and bra as he pulled her across a bed, police said.
He was released on $10,000 bail and waived his Wednesday preliminary hearing. His county court arraignment was set for Dec. 10.
