Going back in time for the holidays

Montoursville will hold its fourth annual Olde Tyme Christmas Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, presented by the Merchants of Montoursville and the Montoursville Chamber of Commerce.

That Friday, Santa will arrive at 6 p.m. via carriage to the Mini-Park on Broad Street. Carriage rides, trolley rides, carolers, entertainment and street characters will entertain from 5 to 9 p.m.

A spaghetti dinner and dancing to the Ray Kinley Band also is planned at Bethany Lutheran Church as part of the borough's event.

The event will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1.

There will be downtown children's singalongs and story time, cookie decorating and book signings.

At Snyder's Nursery, there will be wreath making and demonstrations.

Food and beverage stands, street vendors, store events, entertainment and carriage and trolley rides will be available, and the Gen. John Burrows Historical Society will be open for tours.
