6 motorists charged with drunken driving

MANSFIELD - Six people were charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants recently. According to district court documents filed here and in Wellsboro, they are:

Ronald Grunewald, 29, of Clifford Township, charged by state police following a traffic stop on Route 15, Tioga Township, Aug. 21.

Derek R. Wiley, 22, of Farwell, Mich., charged by state police following a traffic stop on Route 287, Tioga Township, Nov. 11.

Matthew J. Haase, 37, of 19 Kline Road, Galeton, charged by Wellsboro police following a traffic stop on Woodland Avenue Oct. 16. He was issued a summons to appear at a Nov. 27 preliminary hearing.

Michael R. Wright, 36, of 11439 Route 287, Middlebury Center, charged by Wellsboro police after they were dispatched to a parking lot for a report of a possible medical condition and found Wright passed out behind the wheel of his car. He was issued a summons to appear at a Nov. 27 preliminary hearing.

Regina Sayers, 44, of 11784 Route 287, Middlebury Center, charged by Gaines Township Police on Route 6, Aug. 5, following a traffic stop.

Leonard G. Stuhler, 63, of 282 Brown Road, Wellsboro, charged by Wellsboro police following a traffic stop on Main Street Nov. 4.

Teen charged after fight at dorm

MANSFIELD - A second person has been charged in connection with a fight over a borrowed computer memory device.

According to documents filed at District Judge James Carlson's office, Semaj L. Rice, 19, of Bristol, was charged by university police with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment after police were dispatched to Maple Manor on the campus on Nov. 1 for a fight a fight with student John Brockington Jr. over a computer memory device borrowed by Brockington from Nathaniel McCollum.

Brockington said McCollom, Rice and co-defendant Ricky Webb confronted him at his dorm room after the argument in the student lounge, forced open his door and fought with him.

Rice was released on $5,000 bail and waived his preliminary hearing.
