Today when I read my newspaper, I saw the headline that stated "US donates $34 million to UN plan to aid Syria" I can't believe that a country who is in dire straights as we are with people out of work, others who have lost their homes to Hurricane Katrina and now Sandy and in need of help to clean up is now giving $34 million to the UN to help another country again!
Do any of these countries come over here or send us money to help when we need it? Indeed not! They never have, but we'll help them!
It is time that our government starts helping our communities instead of them! That goes for the churches who have sent missionaries overseas! It is time to come home.
I have always done my best to help others and was happy to do whatever was necessary to help out. But now it is payback time! Our government needs to stop the "giving" and start helping our own country!
