Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Bender, South Williamsport, observed their 65th wedding anniversary Nov. 15, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. Homer Smith at Messiah Lutheran Church, South Williamsport. They are members of South Williamsport United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Bender, the former Lois Jean Weasner, is a native of Williamsport. She is the daughter of the late Violet Wilson and William Weasner. She graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1945 and retired from Valley Farms Dairy in 1989.
Mr. Bender, a native of South Williamsport, is the son of the late Mildred Graham and Otis E. Bender Jr. He graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1944 as a Staff Sergeant. He served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He retired from Valley Farms Dairy in 1988.
They are the parents of one daughter, Sandra of South Williamsport.
