Sylvia J. Faivre, 56, of 2018 Frenchtown Road, Trout Run, died Thursday evening, Nov. 15, 2012, at the Gatehouse. Born Nov. 23, 1955, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of James W. Fulkrod and the former Rosella Harman.
Sylvia is survived by her husband, Ralph S. Faivre. They were united in marriage on Oct. 21, 1976.
She loved being a homemaker and enjoyed bingo and hunting. For many years she was a member and EMT with the Morris Volunteer Fire Co.
Also surviving are three sons, Damon L. (Amber) Faivre of Buttonwood, James R. Faivre of Brookside and Jonathan S. (Sherri) Ohmneiss of Urbana, Ohio; three daughters, Janice M. (Samuel) Livermore of Brookside, Sharon J. Jenks of Williamsport and Julie E. (Tim) Gee of Wellsboro; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Richard (Lisa) Fulkrod of Brookside, Ray (Barbara) Fulkrod of Newport, Del., and Milton Fulkrod of Brookside; three sisters, Iva (Edward) Guillaume of Brookside, Shirley (Steve) Snyder of Williamsport and Joanne (Rob) Pickup of Gaines, Pa.
Memorial services will be Sunday Dec. 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. in the White Pine United Methodist Church. John Guild will officiate. Frederick B. Welker Funeral Home, 125 N. Main St., Jersey Shore is in charge of arrangements.
