Matthew R. "Butch" Simcox, 47, of Montoursville, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born May 13, 1965, in Williamsport, he was a son of Sheron and Carol (Kurtz) Simcox. He was preceded in death by his father and a nephew.
Matt worked at Brodarts for 27 years and as the local scrap man.
In addition to his mother, Carol of Hawkinsville, Ga., he is survived by his lifelong companion, Bellina Simcox of Montoursville; a daughter Belinda (Craig) Eck of Williamsport; a brother Mark Simcox of Hawkinsville, Ga.; three sisters, Wendy Simcox of Hawkinsville, Ga., Diana (Kevin) Linn of Milton and Brenda (Bob) Hall of South Williamsport; five grandchildren, Ashley Hostrander, Kirsten Eiswerth, David Fremberg, and Zach Fremberg; and five nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 23 at Montoursville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Matt's name may be made to St. Anthony's Center, 125 E. Willow St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
