This week might be a good time to hang outdoor Christmas lights, with daytime high temperatures in the mid-50s and dry conditions through Thanksgiving Day, according to the National Weather Service in State College.
Temperatures will be a few degrees above normal for most of the week, said Barry Lambert, a forecaster with the weather service. The average normal high temperature for this time of year is 49, he said.
Lambert said clear, dry air will dominate most of the week, but the Williamsport area will experience "a little below normal night temperatures."

Today will bring sunny skies and a high near 52 degrees. Temperatures tonight will dip to around 31.
Tuesday will be sunny with a high near 54 and a low around 33.
Wednesday will be partly cloudy with a high of 55 and an evening low of 32.
Thanksgiving Day will have mostly sunny skies and a high near 55. The low Thursday night will be near 36.
"The next big weather factor is Friday into Saturday," Lambert said.
A chance of showers will be around Friday into Friday night, according to the weather service.
"Next week will be noticeably colder, windier and cloudier," Lambert said.
Higher elevations north of
Williamsport could see a dusting to an inch of snow late Friday into Saturday, he said.
Colder temperatures didn't stop the Festival of Lights tree lighting ceremony Sunday evening, however, in Brandon Park at the Dr. Kenneth Cooper Stage.
About 150 people gathered at the park's band shell to watch youth and teen dancers from the Milissa Augustine Dance Academy and Penn College Dance Team.
Santa and Mrs. Claus, Disney princess characters and the infamous green-furred Grinch made an appearance at the event.
Sally Wiegand, Brandon Park and Shade Tree Commission chairwoman, announced writing contest winners Jaydeun Wright, Elizabeth Zellers and Chloe Wagner.
Horse-drawn wagon rides through the park also were offered to attendees.
Laura Winters and her daughter Madison, 9, and their Shetland sheepdog, Riley, were part of the crowd.
"We were just out for a walk and we ran into it," Winters said.
