Motorists stopping at a number of Sheetz stores in the region to buy gasoline for vehicles encountered a rare occurrence in recent days.
In many cases, there was no regular or mid-grade fuel at pumps during the weekend when many people already were out on the roads traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Sheetz stores in Williamsport still were without full supplies of gasoline Monday.

gasoline are not
available Sunday. Supply problems
continued to plague the chain Monday.

"We have 92 octane. That's about it. Hopefully, this will be rectified soon," said Pocko Rosato at the Sheetz station at 330 Westminster Drive in Loyalsock Township.
He directed all further inquiries to Sheetz's corporate offices.
Signs on pumps at the Sheetz store at 105 Maynard St. in the city spelled out much the same story for motorists arriving for tank fill-ups there Monday afternoon: "We regret to inform you that we are currently out of all unleaded gasoline."
An unidentified person store at the store confirmed the pumps were out of gas.
"We don't have any fuel yet," she said.
At the Linden area Sheetz along Route 220, the only fuel on hand was 92 octane and diesel.
Calls to Sheetz's corporate offices Monday were not returned.
However, Sheetz reportedly sent out a statement blaming the fuel shortage on refinery shut downs on Superstorm Sandy, which swept through much of the Northeast three weeks ago.
The gas shortage, however, is expected to be brief.
A spokesman at the Mill Hall store, 288 Hogan Blvd., reported gas was available there.
