What's new at the library

In an effort to better serve you, the James V. Brown Library has added several programs and services over the past couple of months.

Recently, the library installed new periodical shelving in the reading balcony. Not only does the shelving enhance the space and organization of the magazines, but back issues are now stored under the current issue. This allows patrons access to checkout magazines for a two-week period. The most current issue does not circulate.

The James V. Brown Library recently has added book bundles. Three to four books, centered on a theme, are bundled together. Book bundles are located directly across from the main circulation area in the Vintage Wing. Topics include Cozy Mysteries, Wild Westerns, Holiday Favorites and Movie Screen Tie-Ins.

The library has added a new adult reading cart on the first floor of the Welch Children's Wing.

This cart is filled with new books, cookbooks, craft books and other light reading material for busy parents and caregivers. The cart allows the adults to browse and select titles without leaving the children's area. This convenient service enables parents to continue reading and save time when visiting the library.

What can we do better? In the main lobby of the Vintage Wing, there is a suggestion box. Feel free to let us know how we can improve our service to you. We also have a feedback form on our website at www.jvbrown.edu.

The library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. on weekends.
