Mr. and Mrs. Robert B. Ward, Wellsboro, will observe their 72nd wedding anniversary Nov. 29, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. R.N. Dutton in Elmira, N.Y. They are members of First Baptist Church, Wellsboro.
Mrs. Ward, the former Leona Jones, is a native of Elkland. She is the daughter of the late Anna and Evan Jones. She graduated from Covington High School in 1938 and is a homemaker.

Mr. Ward, a native of Lewis Run, is the son of the late Dorothy and Burley Ward. He graduated from Charleston High School, in 1932. He served in the Army during World War II and retired in 1974 from the Wellsboro post office.
They are the parents of two sons, Robert L., Perry, Ga.; and Thomas R., Columbia, S.C.; and two daughters, Sylvia Wilson, Mansfield; and Diane Jackson, Huntingdon.
There are 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
