Free dinner

A free community dinner will be held at 5:30 p.m. at St. Paul-Calvary United Methodist Church, 1427 Memorial Ave., featuring homemade vegetable soup.

Lycoming Centre Presbyterian Church, 656 W. Creek Road, will present a free Living Nativity 6-9 p.m. Dec. 1-2. There will be nine sites depicting the birth of Christ. Refreshments also will be served. There will be a shuttle from the parking area to the church. Reservations are necessary and may be made by calling 998-2985. Questions may be directed to Sue Koch at 772-5073, or to Pastor Jerry Fourroux Jr. or Dee Gannon, secretary, at the church office 494-0474.

Free lunch for retirees

Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 900 Elm St., will serve a free lunch to retirees at noon. Free-will donations accepted. Blood pressure screening available.

Baked steak dinner

WATSONTOWN - Watsontown United Methodist Church, 1319 Eighth Street Drive, will hold a baked steak dinner starting at 4 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-12 and 4 and under are free. (A children's meal will be offered). Takeouts available. For more information, call 538-1017.

Dip meal

ELIMSPORT - Elimsport United Methodist Church, 16145 S. Route 44, will hold an old fashioned dip meal from 4-6:30 p.m. featuring roast turkey, roast beef or ham barbecue. The main dish is $2.50 and sides 75 cents. Takeouts are available.

MIFFLINBURG - Encounter Revival Ministries will present a musical program at 10:30 a.m. at the Mifflinburg Alliance Church, 1.2 miles north of Route 45 off Forest Hill Road. Call 966-4899 for more information.

Surviving the holidays

JERSEY SHORE - Crossroads Community Church, 1454 South Route 44, will hold GriefShare, Surviving the Holidays, for those who are working through the grief process, from 1-3 p.m. Call the church office at 398-5533 to sign up.

Special performance

Ohev Sholom Synagogue, 1501 Cherry St., will host Susan Leviton performing "Women's voices in Yiddish Song" at 6 p.m. The event is free. Call 322-2209 for more information.

Fellowship dinner

Farragut Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, along Route 864 near the intersection with Route 87, will hold its monthly first Tuesday fellowship dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. Free-will donations are accepted.
