Michael Wayne Baker

Michael Wayne Baker, 41, passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at Geisinger Medical Center. He resided in Watsontown with his mother and stepfather.

Born Feb. 16, 1971, in Lewisburg, he was the son and stepson of Sharon (Valiquette) and Mark Byers of Watsontown, and the son of Barry Baker of Selinsgrove.

He enjoyed his job building valves in the shop at Oil States, Watsontown. He was a certified welder and enjoyed welding.

Mike grew up riding dirt bikes and playing baseball. He was a man full of life, loved Harleys, outside concerts, camping, hunting, fishing, and appreciated sunsets and flowers. His favorite saying was "Let's do this."

Surviving besides his mother and stepfather, and father, are his father's companion Cassey; two daughters, Samantha Baker, Milton and Hailey; three brothers, Justin Holmes of White Deer, Brian Shiffer of York, Jeremy Baker of Milton; numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces and also his companion, Nikki Tubbs.

A memorial service will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown, with Pastor Dan Cale of the Evangelical Friends Church, Hughesville officiating.
