Dear Santa:
Hi, Steve here. I am flat worn out! I know I brought all this stuff on myself over the past several years and it's hard to keep up with it all.
How did I get myself in this mess at the ripe old age of 25? My wife has been in jail for a while now for her issues with alcohol and I've had to handle the two kids by myself.
You would think family would be more helpful than they are, but most of them just turn their back on me.
At least mom's been there to watch the kids while I go to my new job at McDonald's. What a blessing to land that job the way the economy has been these days.
I've been fortunate to have a few friends' houses to bounce around to for a while until I recently got the apartment where I?live now.
It's small, but at least it's a roof over our heads.
Thank goodness for The Salvation Army! They always have been there to get me over the next hump.
Food for our table, electric help when I was short that one month, backpacks and clothes for the kids to go back to school and wholesome, godly programs for the kids to attend.
And they even help out with transportation when we need it. I really don't know what lies ahead in the next several months, especially when my wife gets out of jail, but I do know this.
I have hope in my life, and I give thanks to God and The Salvation Army.
