A new tax collection administrator is working for the city, collecting business privilege, mercantile and local services taxes.
"We appointed H.A. Berkheimer Tax Administrator, of Bangor," said Treasurer Thomas P. O'Connor.
The company replaces Central Tax Bureau, of Berwick, which went out of business, O'Connor said.
The new company will send a monthly invoice to the city, and any payments that sent to Central Tax Bureau will be forwarded to the company.
