Mr. and Mrs. Denise Palmeter, Montoursville, observed their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 24, 2012.
They were married by the Rev. John J. Lenhardt in Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Montoursville.
Mrs. Palmeter, the former Jane A. McCarty, is a native of Montoursville. She is the daughter of Betty and Wilbur McCarty and graduated from Montoursville High School in 1959. She graduated from Divine Providence Hospital's School of Radiologic Technology as an American registered radiologic technologist. She was employed by Divine Providence Hospital as a technician and instructor in the radiology department until 1969. She received an associate degree in floral design from ICS, now Education Direct, Scranton, in 1995.

MR., MRS. PALMETER
Mr. Palmeter, a native of Williamsport, is the son of Marjorie and Henry Palmeter. He graduated from Williamsport High School and received a degree in electronics and communications from Williamsport Technical Institute, now Pennsylvania College of Technology, in 1959. He served in the Army Reserves as part of the 986th Maintenance Co., Williamsport. He retired from Montour Oil Co. after 33 years of service.
They are the parents of two sons, Jon and Joey, and a daughter, Beth. There are three grandchildren.
