Announcement has been made of the engagement of Alexandria Brown, Hughesville, and Rutger Day, Muncy.
An Oct. 4, 2014, wedding in Lewisburg is being planned.
Brown is the daughter of Sheryl and Donald Baker, Muncy, and Julie and Jim Savage, Hughesville. She graduated from Hughesville High School in 2010 and is pursuing a degree in marketing with a minor in media studies at Penn State University. She is employed by South Food District, State College, as a supervisor.

Day is the son of Julie and Cameron Day, Muncy. He graduated from Hughesville High School in 2011 and is pursuing a degree in physical therapy with a biology track at Lock Haven University. He is employed by GNC, Hughesville, as a sales associate.
