Last year when the mysterious pay increases to legislators and others appeared, the governor immediately declared that the Commonwealth was in a financial crisis. Coincidentally, the lease for the state police aircraft to be housed at the airport was not renewed and the aircraft flew the hanger, so to speak.
The API has appeared again; the governor said we are in a fiscal crisis again or still and someone needs to reign in benefits to teachers and others.
I would like to see the benefit packages of these groups, starting with the state legislators, examined more.
