Government accounting is equated to shopping and settling for a lesser value. Do you tell your spouse that using coupons doesn't cut spending in your budget? Purchasing what one can afford is not cutting spending let alone make you able to budget? Do you fore go purchasing protection or repairing because that would entail spending? Less does not mean doing completely without.
We are all Americans who voted saying that we were not makes you the un-American.
