Dorothy J. Bower, 78, of DuBoistown, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.
Born Jan. 26, 1934, in Charlestown, Mass., she was a daughter of the late James and Alice Cook Williams.
In her earlier years, Dorothy enjoyed music and dancing. She was especially fond of her pet poodle, Alicia, which she had for 18 years.
Dorothy was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Milligan of Mass., and Stella Boyd of N.Y.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Twin Hills Memorial Park, with her pastor, Joel Long, officiating.
Arrangements are entrusted to Knight-Confer Funeral Home, 1914 Memorial Ave., Williamsport.
