Last Tuesday was the final meeting of the "Drop 10 in 10" weight-management class, sponsored by Evangelical Community Hospital.
The day began with a weigh-in to compare figures from the first day of class. Some people found a marked decrease in their weight, others saw a drop in their waist measurements and those who were especially dedicated were delighted to find a lower numbers all around.
Personally, I think the "Drop 10" class was exactly what I needed. Prior to the group, I'd met with a dietician but was disappointed with the experience. I needed a schedule and actual tips I could employ, not just someone telling me things I already knew.
Having access to a group of people who all were battling the same issues and facing the same obstacles was excellent, because each one had ideas and suggestions that really can work.
For all of us, the daily challenge continues. We are heartened by now knowing we can overcome our obstacles and reach our goals.
The class also offers a support group on the first Tuesday night of each month.
