Paul L. Fornwalt

Paul L. Fornwalt, 84, formerly of 360 Metzger Road, Watsontown, and most recently of 1105 Main St., Apt. 103, Watsontown, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at his home.

He was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Riverside, a son of the late Willard and Ethel (Schaeffer) Fornwalt. His wife of over 40 years, the former Carlene Erma Feigles, preceded him in death in January of 1996.

Paul was a farmer for most of his life. He also worked 10 years for Delaware Township.

He was a member of the Clyde F. Mowrer American Legion Post No. 32, Watsontown, and the Muffley-Huff Post No. 8206, V.F.W., Turbotville. Paul was an avid junk collector and well-known for wearing bib overalls.

Surviving are one son, Lester Carr Jr. of Watsontown; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Boyd Shemory of Watsontown; three sisters, Nora Black of Muncy, Jennie Kurtz of Watsontown and Carrie Lee Fornwalt of Hughesville; two sisters-in-law, Regina Fornwalt of Watsontown and Sandra Fornwalt of Turbotville; five grandchildren, James, John and Jessica Hartley, Misty Sassaman and Wendie Musser; three great-grandchildren, Chancelyn, Jaycee and Landon Musser; numerous nieces and nephews including Brian Fornwalt; and two special friends, Tammy and Scott.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by one son, Robert Fornwalt; one daughter, Lou Ann Fornwalt; four brothers, Harold, Henry, Carl and Marvin Fornwalt; and one sister, Bessie Worthington.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Muncy Cemetery.

The family is being assisted by Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown.
