Helene G. Hilner, 61, of 345 E. Water St., Hughesville, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.
Born Sept. 26, 1951, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late William T. and Helena (Engle) Lomison. Her husband of 34 years, Andrew E. Miller Sr., preceded her in death Nov. 1, 2006, and her second husband, Ronald W. Hilner, preceded her in death Dec. 14, 2010.
Helene worked as a department manager at the former Hill's Department Store, South Williamsport, for many years and at the former Ames, Williamsport. Most recently she was employed as the manager of Dollar General, Montoursville. Helene was a member of the Glenn Sharrow Post No. 35 American Legion, Hughesville. She enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Andrew E. Miller Jr. and Leona Miller of Montoursville; three daughters and sons-in-law, Annie and Sylvester Shoemaker of Hughesville, Shirley and Gregory Walker of Montoursville and Helena Miller and Jason Shriber of Hughesville; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Linda Lomison of Trout Run; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Ann Ferguson and Shirley and Samuel Coup, all of Williamsport; ten grandchildren, Tabbitha Ranck, Ashlee Shriber, Levi, Dustin, Tyler, Devvin, Shania, Adden, Laane and Cheyanne Shoemaker; and three great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Connor and Carson Shoemaker.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by four siblings.
In keeping with Helene's wishes there will be no services.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Lycoming Unit, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
