Lycoming County commissioners will consider approving an agreement Thursday that allows the county's Resource Management Services department to collect recyclable materials from Selinsgrove Borough.
Under the proposed agreement, Lycoming County would collect recyclable materials at no cost to the borough while accepting items that eventually will be processed for a profit.
Dave Bonus, RMS operations manager, said Lycoming County vehicles would pick up containers in the borough two to three times a month.
The county provides recycling services to additional municipalities in Snyder, Union and Northumberland counties.
Commissioners also will review a resolution that extends a $2.5 million line of credit to Lycoming County Children and Youth Services.
The financing from Citizens & Northern Bank allows the agency to pay its bills in a timely fashion in spite of delayed reimbursements from the state.
Commissioner Jeff Wheeland said the state allows the county to write off accrued interest on any money used from the line of credit because of the difference in timing.
The purchase of document automation software worth $133,169 to be used in the prothonotary's office also will be reviewed Thursday.
Samuel Harrison, director of county Information Services, said the cost would be spread over two budget years and could be reimbursed with Act 13 impact fee funds.
Commissioners also will review a proposed contract that supplies data and administrative services to the county's tax collections office.
The agreement would pay Infocon Corp., of Ebensburg, about $1,010 a month for delinquent tax collection software, printing and other features, according to Thomas Heap, county tax collections director.
Reappointments to county authority boards will be reviewed, too. Commissioners will consider reappointing Bill Martin, Ryan Tira, and Chris Logue to the Williamsport Municipal Airport Authority and George Girio to the Lycoming County Housing Authority.
