Ecumenical luncheon
United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. On Wednesday, Jenny Thorsen, the restore manager for the Greater Lycoming Habitat for Humanity will be the speaker and will discuss how to use your purchasing power to help support habitat's mission. A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.
Devotion line
The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be the Rev. Dan Kovalak, pastor of Holy Cross Orthodox Church in Loyalsock Township.
