Ruth E. Hosterman, 81, formerly of Millheim, Pa., went to be with her Lord and Savior, Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Grandview Health Homes, Inc., Danville, Pa. She was born Oct. 5, 1931, in Wellsboro, Pa., the daughter of the late Douglas and Marian Munson Holliday.
She attended the Danville Apostolic Church, Riverside, Pa.
She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and reading the Bible. Ruth especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was married to the late Ardell Hosterman who preceded her in death in April 1995.
Ruth is survived by two sons, Edward L. Hoover and his wife Peggy of Spring Mill, Pa., Terry W. Hoover and his wife Carol of Hughesville, Pa.; and three daughters, Sharon R. Merrill and her husband Donald of Montoursville, Pa., Vickie L. Bostian and her husband Walter of Riverside, Pa., and Sheila M. Sones of Hughesville, Pa. She is survived by nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Lavern Holliday of Wellsboro, Pa., and Milford Holliday of Underwood, S.D. She is also survived by two sisters, Roberta Wilcox of Lawrenceville, Pa., and Wanda Holliday of Hughesville, Pa. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Kathryn Cook and Betty Bachman.
Funeral services will be private. Burial will be private in the Fairview Cemetery in Millheim, Pa. Arrangements are under the direction of the Visneski Funeral Home, Inc., Danville, Pa.
